SAVE ON HEALTH INSURANCE COSTS

The PBABT Trustees voted to implement a billing credit to reduce your adminstration costs.  If you currently use or elect to use the PBABT E-Bill service, you will receive a credit of $10 on your monthly invoice.  The $10 credit increases to $25 ($300 annually) if you also pay your premium using the convenient pre-authorized checking option, in addition to receiving the PBABT credits, contact the BSI Insurance Service Center at 800-222-3160 or via email at               [email protected]

EMPLOYER INFORMATION

Remember reservists and national guard members who are called to active duty by the president have re-employment rights to their civilian jobs as part of the Uniform Services Employment and Re-employment Rights Act.  Under the Act, those who leave their civilian jobs must be re-employed to the same position they would have had if their employment had not been interrupted by military service.  They are entitled to all seniority and other rights and benefits determined by seniority that they would have attained if they had been continuously employed.  Employee benefits are also protected when a service member is re-employed.  An employee who was covered by a health plan at work is entitled to immediate reinstatement upon re-employment.  Similarly, pension rights are protected upon re-employment.  For more information in employees called to active service, visit the Department of Labors website at www.dol.gov/ebsa/faqs/faq_911_2.html

HOW TO SATISFY CUSTOMERS

When customers have problems, the last thing they want is an uncaring robotic response to their complaints.  You can keep customers satisfied if you remember that when they complain they want you to:

  • Tell them how the problem happened.
  • Allow them to speak with someone in authority.
  • Treat them like people, not account numbers.
  • Let them know how long it will take to fix the
    problems
  • Contact them promptly when the problem is resolved.
  • Give them progress reports if you cant solve the problem immediately.
  • Explain ways to prevent future problems.
