CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
YIELDS REFERRALS

Its a fact that high customer satisfaction yields referrals.  A recent survey
of more than 10,000 home buyers and 400 builders shows that home
buyers who reported an average satisfaction rate of 91 percent made six
or more referrals that led to closings for his or her builder.  Buyers who
reported an average of 87 percent satisfaction made referrals that led to
3 to 5 closings.  Buyers who reported an average of 67 percent satisfaction
 rate, however, produced no referrals.

MANAGER-EMPLOYEE STUDY REVEALS
CONTRASTING MOTIVATIONS

What most inspires people on the job - good wages, interesting work, appreciation of work, or job security?  For managers, what rates highest is good wages, but for employees its interesting work.  Employees rated good wages as eighth in a list of 10 factors.  That is what a joint study by the University of Chicago and University of Maryland found in a survey of 15,000 people in 600 companies.  Job security rated as second most important motivator for managers while employees scored it as sixth.  Survey your own managers and employees to learn what motivates them, and compare what you find to the survey results below.
